Server Rules — FFXI Vana'Diel Memories

Welcome to Vana'Diel Memories! This is an unofficial, passion-driven private server dedicated to reliving the best moments of Final Fantasy XI. Our main goal is to provide a relaxed, fun, and nostalgic environment to enjoy the game up to Level 99, free from the high-stress demands of retail or massive commercial servers.

Our rules are simple and built entirely on common sense and mutual respect.

1. Play Your Way (Multi-Boxing Policy)

Multi-Boxing: You are welcome to log into multiple accounts simultaneously to build your own party, low-man content, or progress at your own pace. All we ask is that you be mindful of others—please do not monopolize active camps or bosses with an excessive number of characters if other players are waiting to participate.
Account Responsibility: You are fully responsible for the security of your own accounts. Staff members will not be able to intervene or restore items/characters lost due to shared login credentials.

2. Third-Party Clients & Automation (Windower / Ashita)

Client Prerequisites: Since this is an unofficial server, using Windower 4 or Ashita v4 is required to connect and play properly.
Add-ons & Plugins: You are fully permitted and encouraged to use standard plugins and add-ons (such as maps, UI enhancements, gear-swapping tools, and performance tweaks) to modernize your gameplay experience.
Full Automation: The only restriction is the use of heavy, fully automated gameplay bots (e.g., unattended 24/7 fishing, crafting, or NM farming bots). We ask you to avoid these to protect server stability and keep the local economy fair.

3. Community & Respect

No Drama: We are a close-knit community. There is no need to fight over experience camps or Notorious Monsters. Talk to each other in chat, take turns, or even better—team up and party together!
Behavior: Public chat is relaxed, but toxic behavior, severe harassment, or hate speech will not be tolerated. We are all here to unwind, relax, and escape the real world for a bit.

4. Bugs, Glitches & Support

Reporting: The LandSandBoat emulation framework is fantastic, but it is a continuous work in progress. If you encounter a broken quest, a bugged ability, or a map issue, please reach out to a GM or report it in our Discord server so we can look into it.
Exploits: If you happen to find a critical bug or an exploit (such as item duplication or broken gil loops), please do not abuse it. Report it directly to the staff, and your honesty will be highly appreciated.
